I saw an intriguing documentary once on Channel 4 entitled "Thames Film" with voiceover work by John Hurt. I have never seen it repeated. I looked for it a few years ago and it was available for hire on videodisc from the a gallery. I wish that short run DVDs were possible of films like this.
Have managed to purchase a dodgy copy off eBay last week and watched it this weekend. Great little film. I thought it was vinegar the old lad was pouring on his pie and mash.
It's now out on DVD. I bought a copy at the HMV on Oxford Street today.
Ah, yes, I should have noted that; there's a thread on the film in the Flickr group Finisterre, but I didn't think to update here.

It's listed on Amazon, obviously. Curiously, it doesn't look like it's published by the BFI.
